Enjoying My Sewing Space

This is my space, I love creating here. I have made it so cozy that my husband likes it here too.
I am kind of a junky person, so that is why you see all the junk, junk in bins, junk on shelves. But it is usable junk. If I did not have all this junk I would not be able to create all these wonderful things that I create. I love colorful stuff, shiny stuff, like rhinestones, and beads. Metallic is a favorite too. This room looks junky now, I think I will clean it up and take another picture when I get it kind of cleaned up. It is always good to start a new project with a clean room.

CZ's Garden

My friend CZ has a beautiful garden. Everywhere she lives. When she asked me to create a jacket for her, I had to think about her beautiful garden and this is the jacket that emerged. Can't you see the beautiful echinaeca flower and oh the daisies. She does have a colorful garden.
I loved creating this jacket because I tried to use every color I could think of.

Black and White/ Carole's Jacket

This is a jacket I made for Carole. She sent me a box of black and white fabrics she had been collecting and asked me to create a jacket for her. When I started the jacket I thought that it was going to be easy because I thought that using just black and white would be so easy, but the prints on the fabric were so busy and energetic that I found that it was just like using color. I was grateful that Carole had already picked the fabrics she liked because I did not have to worry about putting too much energy into the one piece. If you ever get a chance to meet Carole, you will see that she and this jacket belongs together.

My Friend Rita Rena ("I never met a hat I didn't like")

My friend Rita is a queen that is never
seen without her crown. Whether her
crown is a beautiful new hairdo or a wonderful well crafted hat. She calls all her hats, crowns. That is why I created this crown for her. She wears this crown like the queen she is and when you see her you will know that she is a queen because she always wears a crown.
